  Archimedes & Rima Hadley  A well known crater with a diameter of 50 miles. It lies on the edge of Mare 
  Imbrium. The steep terraced walls at the edge of the crater are about 6500 feet high.

  Aristoteles & Eudoxus Aristoteles is an impressive lunar crater 53 miles across. The smaller crater attached on the right
  in this image is Mitchell. A wealth of small craterlets can be seen around the vicinity of these two

  Arzachel  Southernmost crater of the well known trio, which includes Ptolemaeus and 
  Alphonsus. This remarkable crater is 59 miles in diameter with a central mountain 4500 ft. high.   
  Arzachel A, the large craterlet on the floor of the main crater is 6 miles across.

  Cassini This crater is 35 miles across. It lies on the northeastern edge of Mare Imbrium. The two
  main craterlets on it's floor are Cassini A, which is 10 miles across and Cassini B, which is 5 miles
  in diameter. A small rille can also be seen on the main crater floor. Meade 8" LX90 @ f/25.

  Clavius Arguably the most well known Lunar crater. Located in the rugged southern highlands
  region of the Moon. It is 136 miles in diameter and has two large craters bordering it's rim. 
  Rutherford to the top left edge of Clavius is 32 miles across and Porter on the bottom left is about

  Copernicus A very well known crater. With a diameter of 56 miles and terraced walls stretching
  up over 11,000 ft, Copernicus is one of the most impressive craters on the Lunar surface.

  Eratosthenes A 35 mile wide crater located on the southern end on the Appenine Mountains and

  Gassendi  Located on the northern edge of Mare Humorum. It is 67 miles across and is filled
  with many rilles, hills and craterlets. In the center is a double mountain 3600 ft. high. Meade 8"

  Heraclitus & Licetus  A pair of craters located in the southern highlands region of the Moon.
  Heraclitus is 55 miles across, has a central crest and large crater(Heraclitus D)near the top of 
  this image giving it the appearence of a ladybug. Licetus, located below  Heraclitus is 45 miles
  in diameter. Together they form an impressive formation.

  Hommel & Pitiscus  Hommel, showing at the top of this image is 76 miles in diameter. It is
  littered with other large craters around it's perimeter. Pitiscus (bottom) is 50 miles wide and has
  a craterlet near it's center measuring 6 miles across. These craters reside in the southern highlands
  region of the Lunar surface which has an abundance of well known impact craters.

  Maurolycus  Another crater of the southern highlands. It is 69 miles across. Many small 
  craterlets and interesting formations can be seen in this crater.

  Moretus  Located southeast of Clavius, Moretus is in the far south of the southern highlands.
  It has a diameter of 69 miles with a central peak of 8100 ft. Just above Moretus in this image
  is the crater short with a diameter of  30 miles.

  Plato  Located on the northern edge of Mare Imbrium, Plato is one of the most well known Lunar
  craters. It is 61 miles wide with a fairly smooth floor covered with small craterlets, a few of which
  can be seen in this image.

  Posidonius  Located at the northeast end of Mare Serenitatis (The Sea of Serenity). It is 58 miles
  wide and filled with many rilles and interesting formations. It is very similar in appearence to
  Gassendi.

  Rima Hyginus  This is a large rille located east of the "Sea of Tranquility". It is about 133 miles
  in length and 2 miles wide. Below Hyginus in the image is the rille system Rimae Triesnecker, of
  which only a portion is showing.

  Rupes Recta  Also known as the Straight Wall, this formation is about 67 miles long and about
  300 to 900 ft. high. It is located just southwest of Arzachel. Rupes Recta has the appearence of
  a sabre.

  Schiller  This odd shaped crater is thought to be the fusion of two craters or from a low-angled
  meteorite impact. It is 108 miles long and 43 miles wide. Schiller is located in the southern
  highlands.

  Stofler & Faraday  Two impact craters located in the southern highlands. Stofler, the large
  crater at the right of this image is 76 miles wide, Faraday (left) is 42 miles wide. They are located

  Theophilus, Cyrillus & Catharina  These craters are located on the northwest side of Mare Nectaris.
  Theophillis (top) is 61 miles in diameter and has a central mountain 4200 ft. high. Cyrillus (bottom)
  is 59 miles across.

  Tycho  An impressive crater located in the southern highlands. It is 52 miles wide and the
  mountain in center of Tycho is 4500 ft. high. It's terraced walls rise almost 15,000 ft above
  the floor of the crater.

  Vallis Alpes  Located southeast of Plato. Also known as the Alpine Valley, it is about 79 miles 
  long and 7 miles wide. It has a rille running down the middle of the valley which is about 3/8 mile
  wide. This rille can just be detected in the image and it is a high resolution test for an 8" aperture.

  Walter  An interesting crater, Walter is located in the southern highlands as are most of the
  Moon best craters. It is about 85 miles wide and has many craterlets on the main crater floor.

  Rima Hadley  This is an image of the Hadley Rille, the landing site of Apollo 15. The rille is about 48 miles long and 2 miles

  Longomontanus  A large crater in the southern highlands just northwest of Clavius. It is 88 miles in diameter and shows many small 
  craterlets on it floor and is second in size to Clavius of the craters in this area.

  Rima Ariadaeus  This is a linear rille on the Moon, east of Rima Hyginus. It is about 133 miles long and 4 miles wide.
